Outdoor Kitchen FAQ's
At SOLIS Outdoor Living, we understand that investing in an outdoor kitchen is a big decision, and you’re likely to have questions about design, materials, installation, and ongoing care. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we’re asked about our bespoke outdoor kitchens to help you plan with confidence. Every SOLIS kitchen is tailored to your space, lifestyle, and cooking preferences, so if your question isn’t covered here or you’d like to discuss your project in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact us — we’d be delighted to help.
Can I customise my order?
Yes, absolutely. Every kitchen we sell is made to order at the factory in Poland. We offer standard design layouts to give you an idea of what's possible. Each cabinet comes fully assembled and can be arranged in any order. The cabinets are available in a range of standard and premium colours. If you have a specific RAL colour you'd like, just let us know and we can discuss the options. We offer an extensive range of worktop colours and materials.
What is HPL (High Pressure Laminate)?
HPL is abbreviated from High Pressure Laminate. Stratificato HPL (High Pressure Laminate) is a durable, non-porous, and compact decorative panel made from layers of Kraft paper and thermosetting resins pressed together at high pressure. It is highly resistant to impact, scratches, moisture, and steam. Used extensively for counter tops, furniture, and wall panels, it is hygienic, easy to clean, and available in various finishes, including wood, stone, and metal effects.
What is Dekton?
Dekton is an innovative, ultra-compact, and non-porous surface material developed by Cosentino, often used for kitchen worktops, bathrooms, and flooring. It is created by combining raw materials used in glass, porcelain, and quartz, subjected to extreme heat and pressure via "Sinterized Particle Technology". Key benefits include high resistance to stains, scratches, heat, and UV rays.
How long will my order take?
Every outdoor kitchen order is custom made at our factory in Poland. Once we have received payment, your order will be passed to the factory within 48hrs. From this point we estimate that most orders will be complete and ready for delivery in 3-4 weeks. Delivery will then take up to a week from leaving the factory to arriving in the UK. Most orders will shipped directly to your delivery address to save any delays. These time scales are subject to change but we will do our best to keep you informed of lead times at point of order.
What are the cabinets made from?
As standard every cabinet is made from galvanised steel which is then powder coated for even further increased durability. We are able to supply the same cabinets made from Stainless Steel which is also then powder coated. There is a premium charge for this but please contact us of you'd like to discuss the options.
Does this come flat packed?
No, every cabinet comes assembled. Every unit is designed to mount to another unit using internal fixings. End panels use the same fixings to allow the ends to be capped in either HPL or matching colour of steel. As standard each cabinet will have its own section of worktop already fitted. It is possible to order the cabinets with continuous worktop up to 3m in length and excluding grill and Kamado cabinets.
Can I have a different BBQ / Grill?
Yes, we offer an extensive range of Gas Grill BBQ's from brands including Grandhall, Broil King, Beefeater, Weber, Flammkraft and Napoleon. Please get in touch if you have any specific requirements or would like any more information.
Do you have a showroom?
Yes, as of March 2026 we will have a site in Exmouth, Devon with a functioning outdoor display kitchen. We will have an indoor display in Budleigh Salterton, Devon from Spring 2026. We always advise contacting us before you visit either site, to make sure we have someone who can assist you if you have any questions. We are actively looking for more UK based commercial display locations.
Can I add more cabinets in the future?
Yes. The cabinets are designed to fit together with nuts and bolts that can be tightened or loosened which allows you to take the assembly apart to move it or add more cabinets. No tools required.
Can I install this myself?
Absolutely. You will need a basic level of DIY skills to install one of our outdoor kitchens. Before you start it important make sure you have a firm and level base for the cabinets to sit on. Each cabinet has adjustable feet to level it and comes with fixings to fix all the cabinets together.
Do you offer installation?
Yes we often install our kitchens for customers or we may be able to put you in touch with a local tradesperson who can help you. Cost of installation varies with every kitchen and location. We require a solid base (groundwork) and any relevant plumbing to be in place before we arrive. Please contact us for more information.
Do you deliver?
In most cases your order will be delivered directly to your delivery address straight from our factory in Poland. In some cases the delivery driver will require some assistance with unloading and will only be able deliver to the nearest point of access. They will not be able to take your order through your house or garden or up and down any stairs..
Can I collect my order?
You are very welcome to collect your order from our site in Exmouth Devon. This does not affect the price of your order as the price includes delivery to any UK address which includes the cost of delivery to our site. All of our kitchens are made to order, we do not keep stock.
Can I change the layout?
Yes, every cabinet can be configured in any order you'd like. However, some cabinets can be ordered with continuous worktops which will limit the options to rearrange the cabinets.
What warranty do I get?
Every kitchen comes with 12 months warranty covering any manufacturing defects. Please note, the warranty does not cover wear & tear, abuse or misuse of any product.
Can I order now for delivery in the future?
If you're planning ahead, please let us know. In order to confirm your order, we will require full payment at the time of ordering. In some cases we can place your order with the factory and once completed, we may be able to store it at our site in Exmouth . We can then arrange delivery to your address at your convenience. In other cases we may delay your order with the factory. This will be discussed with you prior to the order being placed with factory, provided you have contacted us to confirm the details at the time of or prior to placing your order with Solis Outdoor Living.
Do you offer a design service?
Yes, we do. At SOLIS Outdoor Living, we offer a free design service as part of our bespoke outdoor kitchen process. Our team has years of experience in design and kitchen planning, we work closely with you to create a layout that suits your space, style, and how you love to cook and entertain.
